Summer 2026 NFL Flag Football

Under the Lights, Every Week

Most youth sports have too many kids and not enough playing time.

We do the opposite.

Every team is capped at 8-9 players, which means more reps, more touches, and more playing time. No standing around. No riding the bench. Just football.

Six summer weeks under the lights at O'Connell Field. Friends on the sideline. Flags flying. Your kid scoring a touchdown and looking over to make sure you saw it.

The kind of summer memories that last long after the season ends.

What Summer Looks Like

5v5 co-ed flag football. Tuesday and Thursday evenings from July 14 through August 18. Each division is assigned to one game night per week. Practice before games, two games per night, all within a two-hour window at O'Connell Field at Institute Park (155 - 165 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01605).

10 regular season games over 5 weeks. Week 6, every team makes the playoffs. Win your playoff game and advance to the championship, where players compete for custom championship rings. Runners-up receive medals.

How Divisions Work

Lil' Ballers (Ages 3 & 4): Non-competitive and instructional. Six weeks of learning the game in a fun, pressure-free environment.

Competitive Athletes (Ages 5 and up, must be 14 or younger on January 1, 2026): After registration closes, we divide all competitive players into four balanced divisions by birthdate:

1st Down = Youngest 25%

2nd Down = Next youngest 25%

3rd Down = Next oldest 25%

4th Down = Oldest 25%

No age mismatches. No stacked teams. A Coaches Draft builds every roster from scratch so the competition stays fair across the board.

Coaching

Want to coach? Sign up during registration. No football background needed. We provide the playbook, the resources, and a coach meeting before the season starts. You just show up and care about the kids.

What Your Player Gets

An Official NFL FLAG reversible jersey and flag belt, theirs to keep. All 32 NFL teams represented. Additional gear like shorts, sleeves, flags, and mouthpieces can be added during registration.

Registration

Regular Registration closes June 30th at midnight. After that, a $25 late fee applies and late registrants are randomly assigned to a team instead of going through the draft.

The full game schedule will be posted 1-2 weeks before opening day. We communicate through email and text all season. Add us to your safe-senders list so nothing gets buried in spam.

Not every division will play after dark. Younger athletes may have earlier time slots. But the lights will be on, the energy will be up, and your kid will remember these summer nights all season.
