2025 Summer League *Thursday Nights Under the Lights*

Join the fastest growing NFL flag football organization in New England!
We are excited to announce our exciting 5 vs. 5 co-ed leagues offering for the outdoor season! With uniform pick-up, a practice/meet and greet day, league games, and a Division Tournament, we are taking a holistic approach to ensure players receive a well-rounded experience. To maximize playing time, we plan to limit teams to 8 - 9 players. This program is perfect for players of all levels to learn football fundamentals while enjoying a fun-filled season in the great outdoors!
- Practice - Practice sessions are scheduled before games and take place at the same location. While some teams may choose to practice at local schools or parks, please note that these are organized by the teams Coach & players and ran independently of Central Mass Flag Worcester.
- Game Schedule - The game schedule consists of a 6-week season with 6 practices and a minimum of 11 games. There are 10 regular season games followed by the division tournament for all teams.
- Division Tournament - During the division tournament, all teams will compete for the League Championship. The team finishing in 1st place will receive a ring and the runners up a medal.
- What's Included? As part of your participation, you will receive an Official NFL Flag reversible jersey and a flag belt, which you can keep.
Summer Divisions – NEW FORMAT for 2025!
Our Summer Season runs on a tighter schedule and field availability, so to give every athlete the best experience possible, we’re making a few adjustments.
When registering, you’ll choose from:
🏈 Lil’ Ballers (Ages 3 & 4): Non-competitive, instructional, and all about learning and fun!
🏆 Competitive Athletes (Ages 5–15, as long as they were 14 or younger on January 1, 2025): Players will be grouped after registration closes.
Here’s how it works:
Instead of traditional age divisions (6U, 8U, etc.), we divide all Competitive Athletes into four balanced divisions based on birthdate:
1st Down = Youngest 25%
2nd Down = Next youngest 25%
3rd Down = Next oldest 25%
4th Down = Oldest 25%
This format ensures age-appropriate matchups, balanced teams, and a great experience for everyone—especially with our smaller, faster-paced Summer Season.
📆 Age is based on how old your child was on January 1, 2025.
🎯 As always, we’ll run a Coaches Draft to form teams fairly—no stacking or pre-set rosters.
⚠️ Space is limited due to field and time constraints, so we strongly encourage early registration to secure your spot!
**Additionally, individual items such as shorts, sleeves, flags, mouthpieces, and more can conveniently be purchased online during your registration process.
The exact schedule will be created and posted 1-2 weeks before the start date of the season. Additionally, practices will be held prior to the game time each week, ensuring a convenient and enjoyable experience for all participants. It is important to note that the schedule times may vary from week to week, and slight changes may occur to the schedule after the initial posting.
- Communication is key to ensure the success of the league. Over the course of this season, we will be sending you emails and texts containing important information such as rosters, schedules, and League announcements. Due to this being a mass email system, please add us to your safe-senders list and frequently check your filters to confirm messages aren't directed to your junk mail, spam, or clutter.
- Participants will receive an NFL FLAG reversible jersey and flag belt, theirs to keep! All 32 NFL Clubs will be represented! (Refer to our sizing chart for jerseys as the NFL FLAG styles/sizes have recently been updated).
Our program relies on volunteer parents to coach our teams! Each team will have up to 2 volunteers assigned. We encourage all parents interested in volunteering to do so during the registration process. We will provide several resources along with a comprehensive coach meeting to ensure all coaches have a fun and successful season!
Regular Registration will be from May 23, 2025 - July 11, 2025. Late Registration will continue after and be dependent on open spaces left on teams with additional fees.

May 23rd: Registration for the Summer Season goes Live!
May 23rd - May 31st: Early Bird Discount is in effect!
April 27th: Combine at O'Connell Field
April 27th: Regular Registration Ends. Late fee in effect and NO REFUND WILL BE CONSIDERED AFTER THIS DATE
April 28th & 29th: Coaches Draft
May 1st: Automated General info emails will hit your inbox with schedules.
May 9th or 10th: Live Draft (Depending on Auditorium availability)
May 11th: Opening Day for Spring Season 2025
June 22nd: Lil Ballers Award Ceremony, Playoffs and Championships
Registrations will be accepted after the deadline based on availability on teams and will be subject to a $25.00 late fee.
All jerseys, flag belts, & additional gear ordered during registration process can be picked up from your coach at the Live Draft.
💡 Note on “Under the Lights”
While we proudly call it “Thursday Nights Under the Lights,” please know that not every team will actually play after sunset. Some divisions (especially our younger athletes) may have games scheduled earlier in the evening — before the lights are truly needed. We promise the spirit of the name is alive and well… even if the sun hasn't quite clocked out yet. 🌇 So while your player might not technically be “under the lights,” they’ll definitely still be in the spotlight.
